One Appleton, Wisconsin restaurant feels that one day is simply not enough to fully embrace the heritage behind Cinco de Mayo and has decided to extend the celebration. Osorio’s Latin fusion announces signature drink and appetizer specials the entire weekend of May 3rd, 4th& 5th, 2013.
Cinco de Mayo grew from the relationship between an infant United States and Mexico in the early years of the American Civil War and was originally a celebration of freedom and democracy. Over many decades it has evolved to become the official day to honor the heritage of our brothers and sisters south of the border. Of the decision to extend the Cinco de Mayo celebration this year, co-owner Kimberly Finnell states, -one day just isn’t enough to try to embrace the many facets Latin culture brings into our own; this is a celebration of diversity, as well.-
The innovative concept restaurant, technically located in Grand Chute, is starting the party early. Beginning May 3rd and 4th, Osorio’s Latin Fusion will offer all day happy hour specials in preparation for the big day. Normally offering a daily happy hour from 3 to 6 pm, Osorio’s Latin Fusion is extending their happy hour by providing deeply discounted bottled beers and house wines, specials on margaritas and rail pours, plus select appetizers at special pricing from open to close Friday and Saturday. Featuring an international menu with a passionately inspired Latin influence, Osorio’s is the ideal place to celebrate that diversity which Finnell feels is inherent in the modern-day interpretation of Cinco de Mayo.
Cinco de Mayo itself holds more specials to help the celebration along at Osorio’s. If margaritas are to your taste, Osorio’s signature margaritas, by the glass or pitcher, can quench that thirst at half price all day. Their skilled bartenders will be creating special and delicious Micheladas, along with an entire menu of hand-crafted cocktails, while Executive Chef, Liborio Osorio, and crew cook up half price nachos and select quesadillas, along with Latin style chicken or beef tacos for only $1 each.
Osorio’s Latin Fusion has brought the bold and sexy spice of Latin America to the upper Midwest by blending exotic international flavors with tried and true traditional family recipes. Cinco de Mayo isn’t just another day for the Osorio family; it’s a weekend to celebrate the freedom to bring the taste of Latin America to Appleton, Wisconsin.
